What is daytime saving ?
Many people get mixed up with the whole +/- GMT things. They don’t understand night time saving as well as daytime saving.
First GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time.It is so called because it is the time at Greenwich,United Kingdom whne the sun is directly above(zero degrees longitude). It is an average as this fluctuates with the seasons.
+/- GMT refers to how many hours a time zone is forward or behind GMT. Usually, these hours are called “time difference”,according to the GMT.
Daytime saving is a convention,by which in every spring of every year the clocks are put forward by one hour, thus making the daylight seem longer. It was designed to save electricity during summer time and many countries still use it . The clocks are put back one hour during autumn, returning the time to normal.
